A Frobenius system is a set of axioms for the so-called local structure of a finite group G at a prime p and, more generally, for the structure of the so-called Brauer Category of a block b of G. In my talk, I will introduce this set of axioms, explaining their connexion with these examples and showing their basic properties, as the possibility of having centralizers, normalizes,quotients...In a second part, I will explain the main feature, namely the existence of the so-called Localizing Functor.
